Estate Planning Boot Camp

The nuts and bolts of estate planning and the essential steps needed to get your ‘legal’ house in order!

One of the biggest mistakes people make at or near retirement is not having an estate plan. Why do people procrastinate when the stakes are so high? We know the problems that can arise when a person dies without a plan. Take Prince, for example, he died without a will. What a mess. Instead of taking a few hours to spell out who he wanted to leave his estate to, his estate is now stuck in the quagmire of probate court and the State of Minnesota is in charge of deciding who inherits his assets. What a shame. It didn’t have to be that way. The law says you can leave your estate to whomever you wish (with the exception of one person whom you cannot disinherit without their permission – find out who), but to do so, your wishes have to be spelled out in writing in a certain way. If you don’t have an estate plan, or if you’re not 100% certain your existing plan is up to date, you will want to attend this workshop.

At this free seminar, here is some of what you will discover:

  • How to avoid the costly mistakes made by Prince, Groucho Marx, Elvis Presley and others
  • The four cornerstone legal documents you need for a rock-solid estate plan
  • How to avoid both a “living” probate and a “death” probate
  • How to cut the IRS and the State of Minnesota out of your estate
  • The golden rule and how to protect your children’s inheritance from creditors and predators, including a divorcing spouse, with a Beneficiary Flexible Trust
